Julie – Owner Operator
Julie is a psychiatric and addiction nurse with over 16 years years of experience. Julie's father's long journey with addiction inspired her passion for addiction medicine and her commitment to the wellbeing and recovery of those affected by addiction. She is always available to provide support to residents and their families.
Miguel – On-site Manager
Miguel has achieved long term recovery through unwaivering dedication to working a strong program and through service to others in recovery. Miguel was drawn to the opportunity to become our house manager through his desire to continue to grow in his own recovery while providing support, structure and guidance to our residents. His kind and genuine nature and recovery expertise provide much needed balance and stability to those we serve.
Victoria – Bookeeping/Tech Assistant
For over a decade, Victoria has dedicated herself to serving the underserved. As an addiction medicine RN she has assisted many people through the various facets of the recovery process. Victoria believes that, with honesty, openmindedness, and willingness, anyone can recover and find a new way of life; as long as that life is built on a solid foundation. With Steps 4 Recovery serving as that foundation, she looks forward to continuing to be a part of the solution.
David E. Smith, MD, DFASAM, FAACT – COnsulting Physician
Dr. David E. Smith is recognized as a national leader in addiction medicine, the psychopharmacology of drugs, and new research strategies in the management of drug abuse problems. He is the founder of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics of San Francisco and has been honored as one of the “Best Doctors in America”. Dr. Smith is a distinguished fellow and past president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, past president of the California Society of Addiction Medicine, past medical director for the California State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, and past medical director for the California Collaborative Center for Substance Abuse Policy Research. Current appointments include chair of addiction medicine for Alta Mira Treatment Centers and medical director for Center Point. Dr. Smith is also an adjunct professor at the University of California, San Francisco.
